This workshop, “Parenting at the Intersection of Adoption, Race, and Culture,” is for parents, adoption professionals, social workers, educators, therapists, and the general public. Led by adoption expert and parent Jane Brown, MSW, the workshop will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Sponsored by Casey Family Services, Families with Children from China, the Vermont Adoption Consortium, and the Parents of Youth of Color, the session costs $25. Adoptive Playshops for Children Ages 5 to 10

An adoptive playshop is for adopted children, their non-adopted siblings, and adoptive parents in which children are helped through playful, multi-sensory activities that explore growing up in an adopted family. The morning playshop from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. is for children ages 5 to 7, and the afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. is for children ages 8 to 10. Led by adoption expert and parent Jane A. Brown, MSW, the playshops take place at the Richard W. Black Center, 48 Lebanon Street, Hanover, New Hampshire. Sponsored by Casey Family Services, Families with Children from China, the Vermont Adoption Consortium, and the Parents of Youth of Color, the playshop is $25 per child.
