Confidentiality
Because counseling is based on a trusting relationship between the counselor and the student, any information shared by the child during counseling sessions will be kept confidential. The only exception to this policy of confidentiality would be in certain situations in which there is an ethical or legal responsibility to limit confidentiality. If you have further questions about confidentiality, please contact Sara.
Lunch Groups
This year I have decided to offer small lunch groups to all students in the school. These groups of 3-5 students meet weekly for a period of three to four weeks. During these lunches, students get an opportunity to socialize, work on friendships and have an opportunity to share how school is going for them. They are given time to talk to their classmates, as well as an adult, in a small group. Students have come to really enjoy these lunches and see them as a special treat. If you would prefer that your student not participate in these groups, please let me know.

Look here in the future to see the skills that your child is working on during their weekly guidance class, as well as ways that you can support their learning!
