THETFORD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS NOTES 2/7/07

CHECK IN AT THE OFFICE: Parents, please check in at the office when you come into school during the day. We know you but have trouble recognizing you on the run or bundled in winter clothing. Thank you.

MUD SEASON MADNESS is back and it’s bigger than ever! We have 23 classes to offer. Some classes are “old favorites” and many are new. Look for packets coming home with your child on Friday, February 9_th.

LITTLE LEAGUE SIGN-UPS: Little League sign ups are scheduled in the school’s lobby as follows:

Monday and Tuesday 2/12 & 2/13

7:30 - 8:30 am and 4:00- 5:00 pm each day

Cost: $35.00 baseball and softball; $20.00 T-ball; $6.00 hat

Anyone interested in trying out for the majors should leave his/her name and phone number on a separate sheet at sign ups. Tryouts will be in mid-March. Questions? Call Ted Levin at 333-4443.

PHOTO SCANNING DAY: The Thetford Historical Society will sponsor a Photo Scanning Day on Saturday, February 10, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, in the Historical Library, Thetford Bicentennial Building.

In exchange for scanning your old Thetford photos to add to our collection, we will put your photos on CD for you for storage/safekeeping. All original photos will be returned.

Photos should be of historic interest, pertinent to Thetford, and ideally, the photo subjects and locations should be identified. Finally, photos should be dated or dateable.
