SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4th Pick-Your-Own-Pasta Supper

5:00-7:30PM at Anderson Hall, Thetford Academy. $7.00 per person, $12.00 a couple, $5 child. Benefit 7th Grade Washington Trip.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4th HOLIDAY AUCTION (from Gail Paige):

Holiday Auction at the Thetford Hill Fire Station on Saturday, November 4, at 1:00pm. Pre-viewing starts at noon. Dean Whitlock will be the auctioneer, and all profits benefit the Thetford Volunteer Fire Department. Do your holiday shopping early and contribute to a great cause! Items to be auctioned: Quality new children's toys, pontoon boat ride, Stave puzzle, art from local artists, GPS ready mapping software, furniture, new clothing, antiques, savings bonds, Ipod Shuffle and other electronics, household items, cookware, holiday decor, appliances, gift certificates, gift baskets, massages, loads of hard pack and other materials, plants and bushes, memberships, piano, chimney cleaning, oil changes, and much, much more! Funds raised will be used to continue upgrading the Post Mills Fire Station. Refreshments will be provided by the TVFD Support Team. Come and enjoy a fun afternoon with friends!

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 5th FORD SAYRE SKI SALE (from Giavanna Munafo): The Ford Sayre youth skiing program will hold its annual sale of new and used winter sports equipment at the Richmond Middle School on Sunday, November 5 from noon to 2:30 pm.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 9th 3rd ANNUAL 6th GRADE VS. TES TEACHERS/STAFF “FUN” BASKETBALL GAME in the TES gym starting at 6:30PM. Prizes, raffle, refreshments. All proceeds will benefit the Thetford Food Shelf and/or the Thetford Heating Assistance program. Last year over $500 was raised and lots of canned goods collected! Sponsored by the PTO.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11th GINGERBREAD HOUSE CRAFT FAIR

at the North Thetford Church from 10:00AM - 3:00PM. Crafts, baked goods, book sale, woodworking, children's crafts. Soup and artisan breads for lunch; gingerbread w/whipped cream. Something for everyone!!! Sponsored by Timothy Frost and North Thetford Church.

THETFORD SKI PROGRAM NEWS:

TES volunteers are gearing up for this year's alpine and cross-country ski program and we need your help to ensure a successful program this year. For those who are not familiar with the ski program, TES students in grades 1-6 may participate in cross country skiing or downhill skiing/snowboard programs every Friday for 8 weeks in January and February. On these days TES closes at 12:30. While teachers stay at school to focus on in-service programs, students who select the alpine program are bused to the Dartmouth Skiway where they enjoy the slopes from 1:00-4:00.

The program kicks off annually with the consignment sale of ski equipment, clothing, and accessories in early December. This consignment sale raises several thousand dollars to significant defray the per student cost of the ski program, making it affordable for every TES student to enjoy these outdoor activities. To make this sale successful, WE NEED YOUR HELP. Specifically, we need help during the next few weeks to coordinate the sale, participation on the day of the sale (either December 3 or 10), and help in closing out after-sale activities. If you have a few hours to lend, please contact Jinny Stone at "vstone@thetfordschool.org" or 785-2426. Please volunteer your time soon so that we can make the December consignment sale a success!!
